General rules, guidelines and policy information pertaining to CAA as both a ministry and a forum
See the mission page for more details.
Statement of Mission :
To provide a clean, G-rated place of fellowship for both Christians and non-believers, as well as a gathering place for projects relating to the anime field such as manga production and animation. Officially non-denominational, and most questions--if they are not about salvation directly--are asked to be kept to private emails, since we do not wish to offend any Christian brethren. However, biblically-unsound doctrine will be reprimanded and appropriate action taken.
Forum moderation/control :
All administrators and moderators retain full right to edit any post they deem unworthy. Profanity is on a zero tolerance level here, as is lewd comments, sexual references and the like.
Administration :
Moderators report to Administrators, and Administrators report to each other and to the owner/founder [Ashley]. All leadership report to Christ Jesus. Anyone may contact the aforementioned leadership at any time. The leadership here was hand-chosen by both God and the other administrators. We communicate to each other if there is a problem, pray about the appropriate action, and then act as a single unit to perform it.
Standards
One of our primary goals is to provide a list of Christian-approved anime and a list of anime that should be avoided. Violence, cursing, hentai (pornogrophy), homosexuality and nudity will be dealt with accordingly, not glossed over like many other reviewers. For example, if there's an episode with a nude scene but has a good message, we'll highlight both things in there, not just up-play the message and down-play the nudity.
As in everything else, CAA will take Biblical attitudes towards homosexuality and other subject matters. While this means we do NOT promote the act itself, we recognize the people involved in this act are sinners, just like us. Christ came to forgive ALL, not just the good people. In this context, CAA's policy is 'love the sinner, hate the sin'.
As I write this, I hope I am not coming across as a stern dictator, but more as a very highly concerned and protective leader. God has placed me in this position and I value it very highly. That's why I put these rules in place; to protect and guard this precious community. To be blunt, we're not afraid to stand up to the truth if someone tells us otherwise, and have been known to do so on occasion. We are quick to defend and long to hope for the good.
I take full responsibility for any actions of this forum. I answer to God for my actions, not to man, but seek to please Him the best I can. If anyone ever has need to contact me, I welcome it with open arms.
In Christ Jesus,
Ashley
