My dad like, ALWAYS says things wrong on purpose. Like "Gaspetti" instead of "Spagetti" and such...

My dad doesn’t say anything stupid, but I think my mom tries to make up for him.
When leaving my grandparents house, she was saying how good a driver she was, when she backed up into my grandpa’s car.
I would not mind you in my head, if you were not so clearly mad.

My brother on discovering that I got my little sister addicted to anime
brother: Your turning Jennifer into a geek.
Me: You are also a geek, you just happen to be good at hiding it.
brother: No I’m not, I just happen to like Star Wars.
Me: Alright, how many squadrons of fighters does a Star Destroyer carry?
brother: Is it a Victory, or a Imperial Class destroyer?
*long pause*
brother: I think I just proved your point.

My mum has this really whacked habit of finishing a entire train of thougth even if I know exactly what she's going to say. This usually involves reminding my what is happening. She'll say two words and suddenly remember but then she insists of continuing for another 2 chapters... -_-

There aren't really any stupid things that she says... apart from:
"What are you doing with that... " (think Garfiled)

My dad rarely says wierd things, unless he's telling a joke; he loves telling jokes, a good deal of which are a tad inappropriate. :shady:

My mom says some pretty random/outdated things. My favorite:

"The Rock is such a dreamboat." Said while watching The Mummy Returns. XDXD

She also lixes her metters up sometimes. XD

Mom also has direction dyslexia. She mixes east and west up ALL the time. This plus her inability to decide which way to turn till the last second has passed make her the worst co-pilot ever. We love her anyway, we just don't let her give directions, lol.

my mom seems to have a totally different sense of humour than the rest of my family but i suppose she tries. Most of the time it either doesnt make any sense or it feels like she is pretending to be a teenager to "connect" better. We all try though....she's had a rough life and i love her. And it makes it even more hilarious when she does manage to burn someone...the few times she does she does it gooood. :P

I actually have say I have pretty cool parents. I haven't argued with them about anything since high school days. SPeaking of Parents, i saw a clip of Veronica Mars with what seems to be her parents...

http://date.heyfash.com

I like how her mom asks, "Is your friend coming inside?" Then Veronica says, "Mom, it's Fash." Fash is a weird name for a puppet, IMO. But I love what he drives.
I like stories. And santa. Blank stare.

My mum came up with a brilliant one last week.

Mid conversation she just comes out with:
'Before you where born I was still pregnent with you...'

She didn't even notice till I told her, bless her.

I remember before I went to summer camp, we went to a convenience store because my mom was worried my mild cold would get worse. So we went through the small medicine aisle and she said something like this with a look of deep concern on her face:

"Maybe you'll need this? Or this? What about this?"

She was pointing at box of condoms, which wasn't marked clearly so it was understandable. Still...

"No no, mommy, I don't need those, it's ok."

She looked again and we had a good laugh. :]

I can never understand mine.

Like, their always ragging on me about how "EBIL!" rappers are. (I hate rap btw) The other day, I walk down into the basement, and I see my dad, listening to Eminem. And he's singing along. He kind of looks at me and goes "Its good stuff"

The other day I walked down on him listening to a song about Omish people.

My mom is ALWAYS saying dumb stuff. It's always really random too. But one of the things she says alot when my brother has just done/said something stupid, is : "He's your brother", to which I reply, " Yeah, but he's YOUR son. What's that say about you? He didn't inherit that stupidness from me." And then she's always like..." Oh, right..."

I just shake my head.

On the other had, I get my kids names' mixed up with the dogs's names.

It was very weird.

My dad is strange. He's got a bathroom is his office in the basement, and he doesn't... um, keep it exactly tidy. There was this clump of dirt and dust in the corner, and this HUGE spider was lurking in there. When I asked him about it, he told me:

"Oh, you met Harold."
"...harold?"
"Yeah. He's my pet spider. I've been feeding him for the past few months. Hes getting so big! (all emotional-like)"
"Oh. You have a pet spider? How do you know its the same spider?"
"He comes out in the morning when I have a shower and tries to attack me. Then he goes back to bed. Then, he attacks me the next morning. Its quite the lovely routine."
"Oh. Ok then..."

6_9 I think he genuinly loves Harold, his pet spider. He vacumed Harold up, though, by accident while cleaning his bathroom XD The poor man was devestated.

I cna't really think of anything stupid my parent's say at the moment, but I'msure there's plenty of things, but I do find it funny that my dad will sometimes pick what cereal he buys based on what toy comes in it. Most recently he got cocoa krispies for a glowing skull, but that made sense, since the logo of one of the sites he's a member of is a green skull.

My dad has invented the officially corniest jokes/advice/sayings in the universe. My mom won the "Most Scatterbrained" award in high school (or at least, she should have). So... there's not much hope for me, I guess. :P

Dad's Sayings
"Common sense(cents) is worth a lot! Get it? Ha ha..."
"Have a great day and be great today!"
"You're absolutely my favorite daughter!" (I'm his only daughter.)

Things My Mother Has Actually Said
"Bologna Kitchen? That's an anime show?" (She meant Rurouni Kenshin)
"Well, excuse me! You call them flip-flops- we called them thongs in my day!"
"I'm sorry. I guess you inherited the fainting and klutziness genes from me."

My parents don't say stupid things. My Dad is overly formal and polite for our area because of his time in the military, but while he may say unusual things, they are never stupid. My mother does not say stupid things either, and while she does participate in small talk for politness sake, she actually has little tolerance for time wasting nonsense and other idle chatter. I'm the one who says stupid things; its the price of being way too blunt.

Example:
While looking at my preachers new baby girl, I said to her mother, "Is she a little cross-eyed?" :hits_self:

Batman: "A sound observation, Robin."
