Stealing RRRRRRRRs

Postby ashfire » Sat Jul 22, 2006 3:49 pm

I learned this week from the news that someone was stealing the RRRRs from business signs around a town. :dizzy: No one could figure the reason for it, but just a couple of days ago a cardboard box showed up with all the stolen RRRRs. Police are checking for fingerprints to determine who was involved in this incident.
It makes you wonder what would push someone to steal sign letters. Acourse I thought of pirates. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
I have seen people take the letters of a sign and change it around to read something else. :wow!:

Maybe they have the Qs and are working their way to the Ses/Ss(?).
But seriously that sounds more like a bunch of bored teenagers than anything else.

People do the dumbest things when they are bored.

My senior year of high school, people kept stealing the women's bathroom signs from the school, and a couple business around town; it later escalated to men's signs as well. XD

I think it be funnier to switch the men's and women's bathroom signs around.

Well It looks like someone will get off from being put into a serious situation for punishment and get to do something for the community for their little crime spree.

So it wasn't pirates?
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I would've made em pay 5,000 for each letter!
