First off you're not being fair in some respects. Malcom X was with the Nation of Islam which preached exclusion from white society. But he discovered how corrupt and sinful the organization's leadership was and in the end turned away from his hate speeches and the NOI's bigotry. He chose to seek integration and preach to all races. He was assasinated by Nation of Islam militants. While he wasn't a Christian he was a devout Muslim and he deserves respect for changing his message and working for integration in America.
I wouldn't say Kwanzaais a hate holiday but it certainly is pretty fake. It was created in 1966 by a militant black racist named Mulan Karenga, which is an assumed name. I don't believe he had anything directly to do with the Black Panthers. He went to jail with some of his cronies for beating and torturing two women. Oh yeah and he got out in 1974 and became a chairman for California State University.
Kwanzaa's origins do not lie in harvest celebrations dating back to ancient Africa. Why would any culture be celebrating a harvest during the Winter Solstice? And as far as Maize, or corn, being a part of the celebration, it is not native to Africa but the Americas.
