T9- Cell phone predicitve text, faster?

Postby psychooys » Fri Nov 18, 2005 11:17 am

ok i just got a new cell and it has options of using predictive text on it. A Program called T9 is on it and it allows me to type on letter per word (it seems). and i was wondering if anyone here uses this T9 feature? If so is it worth taking the time to add some words to the dictionary of the program? basically down the line will i save time by learning how to use it?

I dunno, mine has that too, but I haven't tried it yet. I probably should, though.

I have found personally that it is annoying just as often as it is helpful. The main reason is that if there are two words that are the same length and use the same keys on the phone, it usually ends up giving me the wrong word. But if you decide you like it, go for it.

theres a button for you to interchange from those words that are different. Usually it's 0 or # or *

t9 is the only way to type, i am almost as fast on it as i am on a qwerty keyboard...my phone has a little dictionary that comes up with words that have those same letters so you can choose between them, its uber fast :) i recommend it if you are going to be text messaging or instant messaging

OOOO T9 really bugs me. It never deos what I want it to do. But that is just me, it seems to work pretty well for my older bro. I guess you should just try it and see how it suits you.

as fast as the keyboard? thats pretty freakin awsome, save me $100 and still get the typing speed :D the thing that makes me happiest about T9 is not having to wait when doing words with double letters.
