I'm 29, not there yet.

I know a certain pointy-capped admin who will be 30 very soon :)

I thought we weren't supposed to say people's ages if they didn't put them in their profile :o

Hey, guys! Look at all the old people!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

ooh, could this be the set up for a Middle-aged Mod battle?

(and despite the age of that guy in my avatar, I do not fall into the over 30 group.)

I'm only 27. But most people think I'm a lot younger. The decon at church thought I was 13. So did some waitress at a resturnat. 0_o

I've got an original idea: How about only people who are between 30 and 50 replying to this thread? Makes sense to me.

2 more years and I'll hit the upper end of your age span. Wow, then I can get senior discounts at the resturants.

Thanks for making me feel young, Rev. Doc! ;) Not that I'm very far behind you... I'm just slightly to the right of the half-way mark of your category. (*giggle* Don't know why I'm being so cryptic... that means I'm 42. :)) Glad to see there are at least a few people a tad bit older than I am around here. Makes for a nice, well-rounded community! :thumb:

I'm an old man. I know I'm not the oldest here, but I often feel like it. At least I feel like with my likes and dislikes, I should be 22 instead of 32.

I think it be nice if we kept to the following rules:
1.Anyone at least 28-50
2.Only the person posting can tell their age unless they give permission
3.Everyone over 40 gets free ramen noodles served by Ashley!

Actually to be serious the reason why I started this thread was the fact that I have noticed that there are a lot of us over the 30 mark here. This only
shows that anime isn't just for the kiddies!
