Dating vs. Courting

Talk about anything in here.

"wow... people might think me the least likely to say this, but this thread is getting more and more off topic really fast. The arguing is making everything really confusing... could we like get back to dating vs. courting?" ~ frwl

Yeah, sorry about that. I see where this is going, and it's just about over.

Lam, at first you were just talking about love. You didn't make any definition about it, and you were not clear. (So-called human love, or God's love?) The only thing you said about God was this:

"Like i said before, " oh he is a rapist and he might change. I will just trust in God that all the past information and character will change when we are married because love can make everything ok.""

Now that I see your intention, the way you said that was very misleading, which is why I reacted the way I did about the point of trusting God.

"God controls the ultimate but you choose your steps. He controls your death you control how you rule your life[to a point]. So it is up to you how you use your free will, you have to live with the consequences. Might as well avoid, if can be avoided, horrible consequences."

That seems different than what you were saying at first too:

"--> consider avoiding the bad times. What if you could avoid those times?"

You were not exactly clear, so I took it to mean ALL bad times. (You were not specific!)

"now where did i say that that love had to do with God's love? And the quote below does not justify your case because it is based on human love."

"Last time i checked it doesnt say anything about God nor his love in that quote and.... i am speaking of HUMAN love..."

It is true that you did not specify that you were taking about God's love. BUT, you didn't say it was about human love either, like I said before.
"Does Gods love make excuses...... nope. Is God selfseeking? Nope. Is Gods love too binding .... nope."

That's exactly what I was saying. We were basicly arguing the same point.

"that is why i said that God's love is perfect and human love is flawed. And yes i know that was my quote."

Sorry, you didn't say that until after I had been talking about what you said.

"Can God work past her doubt? Can God only heal if you are in the right mind? And what about a whole group of people with complete faith, is her one thought of doubt greater? And if so, is her doubt greater than Gods plan or even his Will?"

No, basicly what I was saying is what you said after that:

"So basically He is limited by our weakness ::wink::"

His power is not limited, but what he can do for us is. For example, he cannot make the dicision to become a Christian for us. We have to make that choice on our own because of our free will. He will not force us to love him.

"That doesnt matter how much you have now right? God will provide the money if you are to go, in one way or another."

Yes, I know that is true. But it has not happened, so obviously I am not meant to go. At least not yet.

"Again quote me[exact quote]... when did i say go start a fight... i just said "go there." DOnt worry they will be looking for you. "

Well if your intent was to go through "tribulation", obviously you are LOOKING for trouble. ;)

"The question is can you? Thought not... can a normal person? Thought not."

I have not trained with weights, so no. (Define normal... The people who lift crazy weight start out as normal people, that go through training.)The people that lift over 400lbs have been going through intense training for a long time. I listed that as just some random fact that I thought might be interesting to some, not as some kind of point in this debate.

:: 10 hit combo, and a Fatality::

; )

In conclusion: We have been arguing basicly the same thing. But because of human imperfection and miscommunication, this argument took place. Lol

Back on subject (finally):

"i would choose arranged because dating is for fun and fooling around with no commitment."

Read my first post, about the definition of dating. What you desribed is BAD dating, not good dating. There is a difference.

Wow! That's a lot of people saying a lot of things. I wonder if mine will even get read. Whatever. So, here goes: on the first date with my wife (she wasn't my wife at the time:)), I decided that I didn't want to touch her for 12 weeks, which meant 12 dates. We almost made it too. But the point is that because physicality was not a part of our relationship until something like week 9. It made our relationship so much deeper.
