Werewolves

Talk about anything in here.

Not really, the link between vampires and sex was discussed and written about well before Anne Rice (e.g. Carlotta).

I don't really think that you can derive too much about vampires, werewolves, etc from the bible- nor should you really try I think. Both monsters are ultimately derived from mythologies and cultures that are well outside of the ancient biblical lands. Moreover, they generally can be taken to represent certain psychological concepts as well (which is perhaps why they are so enduring), rather than any sort of physical creature. The question of their being "evil", I think resides with the intent of the writer rather than the motif itself.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Werewolves, vampires, dragons, etc. are all fake. They are all myths and legends from the Dark Ages.

Well said. If there is any historical link, I'm sure it's been repeated (and redone) so many times the original ideas are hard to find.

i also have a slight fascination with werewolves specifically, and as a result i've done some research on where the idea originated and all that sort of good stuff, as far as i'm concerned, "being" a werewolf is no more evil than "being" male or female, however it is the means by which ppl would try to attain this ability that is really called into judgement and along with it the intent of the person that wants to be a werewolf, in europe during the middle ages, many ppl would go to witches and hermits and obtain either a spell or concoction that when used would cause the person to either hallucinate so that they would think they were a werewolf, or
*YK's opinion here* perhaps summon a demon of some sort that would possess the person also making them believe that they were a werewolf or some other such monster * end opinion*
considering the reason behind your question, i would say that no, werewolves in themself are not evil, they are a literary figure and pop culture icon that has grown from superstitions of the past generations, and i would say that since it is your goal to abide by God with your writing, that your heart is in the right place, if God suddenly starts telling you to take something out of your writing, do so, and He will give u even better material to take it's place
'nuff said
