Well, I got a rejection letter from Telluride today. Telluride has this Summer Program for high schoolers where you just go and learn stuff- and if you get in, it's free. I was really excited about it, and worked really hard on my application (five essays they asked for!), but out of the 850 they invited to apply, they only pick 80- and I wasn't one of them. It just depresses me alot because even if I get accepted to all the other summer programs I applied for- I have to find a way to pay for them. They all cost over $3000 dollars, and my family doesn't have enought money to pay for stuff like this. Telluride was my one chance to not have to worry about the money. I'm just so sad...
I suppose the point of this thread is for us to let out all our stories of things that have disappointed us over the years- mourn them and move on. Your stories can be anything- they don't necessarily have to involve you, or it can be something insignificant- it doesn't matter. If you've ever been disappointed, share your story and gain some sympathy. It'll make you feel better.
