once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love

my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

For the first time ever, I"m cooking for my family, and they are coming to my place.

That's 12 people in one tiny little apartment  :?:

Fortunately, though...this makes it easier on the rest of my family, since they don't have to worry about cooking or cleaning. :thumb:

I hope they don't mind sitting on the bed to eat....it's either that or the floor.

We were going to drive to Oklahoma to see family, but we canceled our trip because of ice and snow and are just staying home.
"Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you, stand, Men of the West!" ~Aragorn, "Return of the King"

This is the first year that my nana (mom's mom) is coming to our house for Christmas. Usually my family (mom, dad, little sister) have Christmas morning at our house, go eat brunch at my best friends house, then drive 3 or so hours to my nana's in Arizona. Since her little dog died last year, she doesn't have to worry about him, and she decided to come here. My aunt and little almost 2 year old cousin are coming up today (should be here any minute). We're going to have a fun Christmas eve, then get up early and open presents. We aren't allowed to wake up my mom and dad before 7, but my sister and I can go through our stockings, as long as we don't touch or rearrange any of the gifts. That usually happens around 4 in the morning, and then we have to find something to interest us until 7. My sister and I have already got to open one of our gifts from our parents. They got us these awesome jumpsuits warmup kinda things. They're really comfy. *happiness*

Tonight me and my parents will be having our yearly prime rib Christmas Eve meal. Then we'll be opening presents and watch Elf. Tomorrow we'll go to Church then head over to my mom's parent's house. My mom is the oldest of ten kids, five girls and five boys. There's gonna be about 40 people in that house...crazy. Only time of the year their house feels a little crowded. We get along though and it'll be a good time of course.:)

Here is what has happened so far for my Christmas:
woke up at 7:30 and made waffles with mum
opened the presents sent to us by nan and pop, then sat round the telly with the family and watched a Church presentation. After that we went for a walk (had to burn off the waffles ;) )
When we got back, I made a cake for the family  Yay for cooking! We are now about to ring up nan and pop, before settling down to watch a movie as a family...

My family's Christmas is gonna be a little thin this year because my dad's been out of work for quite a while. (That reminds me, I have to put that in the prayer requests.) God provides, though, and any lack of material gifts will be replaced with additional love going around. I'm writing this from church. I do the overheads on a computer with internet acces and the band's not playing right now so I have a short break. It'll be a good Christmas. I know that for a fact. Every day is good when we set our eyes on God.
I will not waver, doubt or falter for all truth in this world has been written into the book here at my side.
