Now for the racer update: The mighty Sunako, slayer of hopes for seven rounds, has finally fallen. An impressive feat, to say the least. The three remaining racers are:

Who shall be eliminated next? Only time can tell...

Yay!!! I made it!

To celebrate this momentus occasion-- I present you with bananas. Let the dancing begin!

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Wow. That leg was over in the blink of an eye.

After the two of you entered, I was checking on ZiP and noticed (for the first time) that his signature says that he's going to be gone for a month. Does anyone know about that?

ZiP is out, of course, but I was just wondering.

Congrats to Mangafanatic and Mr. Smartypants... You guys are the finalists! We should probably set up a time that is convenient for both of you.

The format of the finale makes it even as long as both of you are on at the same time.

A necessary question: what sort of connections do you have? Dial up or High Speed?

She is!? I'm gonna have a talk with her about that. It just isn't healthy. *goes off to interrogate renegade split personality*

Wow Mr. Smarty Pants! Can you believe we made it!? We beat a guy who's not gonna be one for a month. That's--- practically impossible!

Yeah, nine would probably be good. I don't know how long I'll be able to be on. So, how's the lightning round work?

An explanation is in order, apparently.

1) I post the country.
2) Racer 1 checks in with a fact.
3) Racer 2 has 24 hours to respond.
4) Racer 2 checks in with a fact.
5) Racer 1 has 12 hours to respond.
6) Racer 1 checks in with a fact.
7) Racer 2 has 6 hours to respond.

And so on and so forth until the time increments are literally in the seconds. The round ends when one of you runs out of facts, goes over the time limit, or can't post any more facts. Last time the round started at 8:00 AM and went until 3:00 AM...

I'm a pretty early bed person too. Elevenish also. We'll see what happens. Atleast neither of us are insomniacs!

It takes strategy as well. Last time was a brunt force blunt attack by both parties, but you have time to respond, so perhaps you will want to use it? In the beginning, you have 24, 12, 6 hours to respond so it may not benefit you to respond right away.

Good luck guys.

An extremely good point there, Termyt. Last time Smanbeyond and Swordguy were posting facts within minutes of each other only hours after we had started. You guys can take your time...at least at the beginning.

Ironic, I thought I was going to be gone and didn't find out I'm not until after the checkpoint.
*sighs*
Oh well.
