You need fellowship and to study the bible to be in touch with God, and retreats every once in a while to refocus. It's good you're doing this Volt. Just remember,(if you read this) that we can't replace any friends entirely and church is good to strenghnthen your faith.
Sorry if this soinds like preachin' or that I'm judgemental.

The pull of the world can be powerful, and without truly spending time with God and renewing our spiritual lives, the spirit will be weak and the flesh will win. Many Chrisitians go to church, fellowship with other believers, and even praise God with their lips every Sunday morning. But many of these same Christians never:

- Pray

- Read their Bible

- Spend time alone with God

- Obey God's Word

"For they honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me."

This is how a Christian can easily fall back into the world despite having strong contact with other Christians.

What your doing is very good, Volt. I'll keep you in my prayers. Best of luck to you.

I am very surprized I've made it this far, I've got something that lasts forever, something real, not a fake relationship but a real one. After being gay, adicted to porn, abused, hit, alone, atheist, wiccan, pervert, Multiple Personality Disorder, extreme depression.

After all those things, I've noticed that i've gotten stronger and stronger in my relationship with him. All those things are cured, 100% gone, that amazes me everyday. I have christian freinds who, sadly are no longer christian, Just a few Minutes ago i saw one of them denie Jesus, the other one, my childhood Freind Sarah, lost virginity, took up drinking, curses aloud, and she was the best christian i ever met...went to church and a christian school 24/7

Just on Sunday we were discussing these things at a study. Things we talked about was how people who have gone through the most toughest of times, usually become the most strong Christians. But, some people who were raised in the belief, will do some major backslide, and try to find their own path. Many of them do come back, but sometimes they have to decide on what they have to believe in for themselves... even if they get into bad stuff...

Your life is truly a testimony, Volt. It brings tears to my eyes to see how you've turned around, and my heart sings. This, my friends, shows how truly amazing God is. He is so loving and full of grace.

Volt, you are amazing as well...that took a lot of courage and strength to turn from all of that. I will keep you in my prayers. You are an incredibly strong guy. We could all learn a little about spritual strength from you.

*whispers* I am also glad that your good looks will not be wasted, young man ^_~

Hope you do well Volt--spirituality left unchecked is spirituality left dead.
