Bible Quizzing

Postby The Silence » Tue Oct 28, 2003 11:56 pm

I'm rather curious as to whether or not anyone hear participates in some form of teen bible quizzing.

I myself do Nazerene Bible Quizzing, and am absolutely passionate about it!

Uh... no. :stressed:

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Baptists can't do Bible Quizzes...we can never agree on the answers.

Did you ever notice that allude and elude look similar...?

I was going to ask a question about 'PERL PRINCESS' but the more I thought about it, the more appropriate it became. Cute.

bible quizing...yeah...a few times in my religious ricochet,i believe i have had bible quizzes. there was the time when i was baptist, awana and other programs like that. then there was the time when i was a "bible believing" independent. i think our leader put us through a few quizzes. from there we come to my present day reformed presbyterian faith. our little "gathering" has only 2 teenagers. just senju and his sister. ack. maybe if there were a few more teenagers we would have something like that ,but i doubt it. wait...i hate quizzes. so good. no quizzes.

Nope, can't say that I have. Many friends of mine, though, and I considered doing it for a while. I now attend a reformed Presbyterian church (OPC), and we're a relatively tiny congregation. Not much to work with, as far as youth activities!

My pastor instead saw fit to shove me into seminary to learn Greek when I got to be a theological challenge to my SS teachers! :)

I've done some in the past. I'm the one who likes to answer the questions, I like doing that. Give me a bible and some time and i'll find the anwser :thumb: But not for contest or anything. Just for fun.
