What my mom said.

I have so many people admire! but right now. I'm gonna tell you about one of them. My mom! >^^< My mom is such a hardworking person.

There was this one thing she said to me. Something that ALWAYS sticks in my mind. I once told me mom," I want to be as smart as you one day!" >^^< (She's very intellegent!). She smiled at me with that bright smile and said,"I want you to become better than me". >"< I looked at her very awkwardly. She wanted me to become better than her? When i look around me, I see a lot of competeing going on. everybody wants to be better at something whether it is good or bad, usually people don't care. Just as long as they're at the top. After a moment of awkward silence i spoke up," You want me to become better???" >"< My mom nodded," I want you and your brother to become better than me. it's one of the many wishes parents make that their childrent will become better." >O.o< "Wow..." I thought. "That must be tough." but when I looked into my mom's eyes. I could see she really meant it, and it was not a struggle for her to wish that.

i often use what my mom said to make me work harder. >^^< My mom is so awesome! I'm not even sure if i could ever work as hard as her!
I live to love and love to live! >^.^<

Mothers are awesome! and fathers too of course. It sure would be great to be smarter than my parents--well, wiser at least. Just very wise, that's what i want.

Oh Christiangirl, that's so sweet. T__T Thanks for sharing that. ^__^ *hugs* Your mom sounds awesome. ~_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

i'm terrible at math. my mom told me something she heard from someone (dang, I can't remember!!) anyway, the person said that you're supposed to concentrate on your strengths and not on improving your weak points because then you lose concentration on what you can do.

People: wha?

the Vashage: eh, never mind.

My mom says the same thing. She tells me everything she did when she was my age and then she looks at her kids and says "I am BLESSED" :)

I think that during our lifetime, few people (mates aside) will love and understand us better than our parents. I'm glad that your mother has made such an impact on your life and lovingly encouraged excellence.

What a cool mom! :) I think a lot of parents feel that way, but many don't know how to express it to their kids.

That' really cool. My parents have said the same thing years ago. Parents usually want their children to succeed in life and have the things their parents didn't have growing up. Parents help support and give encouragement. That's really cool you look up to your mother.
