Getting higlights and your hair layered (still can't spell) is popular around here.
I thinks Neopets might become a fad someday.
Scooters were a fad too, when I was younger. XD...*loves my scooter*
Gel pens are kind of a fad....everyone wanted one.
The popular music today is a fad too.

...*can't think of any more*

The terrifying moldy bread incident! In elementary school, Yomi's leftover bread started rotting inside her desk! you can't imagine what happened! Not only that, but the mold had a will of its own, it was terrible! Barricading ourselves in the science prep room, we used spirit lamps and engaged in combat! Then I realized it!! If we only had the bottle of mildew remover from the bathroom, we could destroy them!!

Marbles were a big fad here in the fifth grade... our teacher read a book about some kid who played marbles and for the entire year a kid's worth was measured in marbles.

Grass forts were also big at my elementary school, so big they made a rule against picking grass and going on the big hill where all the grass was.

As for fashion, I'm not sure how widespread this was but it was cool to wear short overalls with only one strap done up.

:shady: Hated those rabbit feet that everyone in my class had with them. I was like...Eww... You carry around a fake foot that belongs to a fake rabbit?:eh: Why should I just go home a tear off my stuffed rabbit's foot, huh?

*Ahem*

I remember
-Saved by the Bell being like the "in" show, everyone watched it.
-wearing multicolored paperclips as necklaces and bracelets and stuff, I remember one girl making earrings and rings and anklets. Needless to say she was the target of envy. lol!
-guys rolling their pants legs up and pulling up their socks
-my little pony
-polly pocket
-saddly, I too had a book full of Pokemon cards that kids gave me freely, so hey I took em and got a binder full. wish I could sell all them puppies.
-neon colored headbands
-stirrup pants
-long shirts on girls that went to your knees
-the off-the-shoulder look on girls where the neck was cut out and a tank top worn underneath... purely played off of saved by the bell cuz it was a cult thing here I swear...
-the boy bands O.O sooo glad thats over with
-the multicolored plastic string that girls used to make keychains with, my mom still has alot of mine
-jelly shoes, i had like 3 pair of them
