I guess this really involves more of a illegaly accessing another person's data and manipulateing it without permission. God knows how many natural lifetimes I would be put away for if virtual murder was a crime.

Well yeah..but still. The focus of the article was that the women was angry over a virtual divorce and virtually murdered her ex. Who does that?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's happened before and will happen again. The real question in my mind is "Who calls the police?"

Just ban her or something. WHy does everything have to involve the police and courts these days?

I'd bet she got the ID and password from the dork himself, who deserves punishment if her side of the story is also true.

How true!
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. A duck hears also." - Igor Stravinsky

You can get five years just for hacking like this?! If it was sensitive information or e-mail or whatever, I could understand, but this...

It's not just that she got jailed over this, it's also that people out there are that tied up in their fictitious parallel existence.

And she's only one of many.

These people can vote.
