Hey all, my class is going to LA for it's senior trip this year. And Ive been wondering if any of you that live in that area(Or have traveled there for vacation. Or just happen to have knowledge of LA in general.) know of anything that we could do or see in LA. This for a christian school, so choose wisely. We are most likely going to go on a pre-planned trip, but I would like to know anything that there is to do with a christian perspective.(i.e. Nothing satanic, unclean, or anything else that is displeasing to the Lord. We can have fun, but within christian values. Meaning it can be secular, but it can't be anything that would displease God.)
There are three things that must be done on the trip.
1. Have Fun.(Obvious one.)
2. Educational value.
3. Spiritual value.(I go to a private christian school, so something that has something to do with God, the Bible, Jesus, etc.)
The other guys plan to watch some sports games like the Dodgers, Lakers, etc.
Of course the majority of the trip will be for having fun, but I would like to know if there's anything educational and spiritual to do or see in LA.
If you have any information about LA, then please speak up.

If you can get to Pasadena at all, the US Center for World Missions is there, as is the International House of Prayer (how is that for a tasty IHOP?).

I've heard good things about the Getty. You should go if you can. I also enjoyed the Norton Simon Museum, the LA County Museum of Art, and the Asian Pacific Islander Museum (this one I know is around Pasadena) but that last one might not fit what you want since it had Buddhist stuff but not Christian.

You might also explore cultural areas of LA. This might not be explicitly Christian, but it could be useful for relating to other cultures that God places you in contact with. We have a Little Armenia somewhere in LA, lots of Armenian stuff and some Korean stuff in Glendale. There is a little Tokyo, China Town which I believe is in the city of LA, and Korea town.
If you are there on a Sunday and don't have a church to go to, Young Nak Presbyterian is a very cool church located in the city of LA on Broadway. http://ynccla.org/ I have a really good friend who goes there.

You should have a scavenger hunt in the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. It's like a giant pedestrian street with a gazillion shops and stuff and entertainers. You should have your class split up into teams and each have a camera. Every time you find something on your scavenger hunt list like for say: a number 14...then you have to take a picture of it with someone from your team in the photo. You'll see the occasional celebrity there too so it's fun to add a picture of a celebrity to the list. You can ask me if you need things to find on a scavenger hunt list that would be in Santa Monica if you decide to do this.
There's also a comedy club in LA that is called Comedy Sportz. What's nice about it is that it's good clean comedy, nothing dirty. I went there once and I laughed me face off. It's kinda like a Whose Line is it Anyway but better, lol. And the tickets are only like 10 bucks.
