Something Old, Something To Share

I was looking through some really old backup disks today, when I came upon a lost old text file. Years ago, I had saved emails that were important to me. The first one that caught my eye, was titled "Come Join CAA, an MSN community" This was the invite that Gypsy had sent me. According to the email, on Saturday, February 16, 2002.

Gypsy had put a message in, telling me that her and Lightbringer (Both personal friends of mine) Had joined this site, and they had put some drawings up. Well, obviously I joined. I dunno how long after that I became an Asst. Manager for Ashley. Probably a month or so. I don't remember it being too long. (Ash can help me with this, as I was the bold cocky young member) Just figured I would share this. I got quite a kick out of it. Now if you remember when I joined, you are old school.

Awww, what a sweet memory It makes you wonder how so much could happen is so little time doesn't it I'm sure in between now and then.. CAA has grown so much from all of your efforts

Ha. Things have changed a ton since then. It was a tad easier to mod a board with like 20 members. LOL. Back then it was Archan, Ashley, and me. I think we brought Gypsy on board right before the move to the new site here.

A funny thing to share and feel bad for this. In May of 2003, I was looking for a christian anime board and I found this and I do remember that it had to been a few weeks old, since there was just a few threads here and there.

I felt, hmmm. I would check this place out again soon and I end up forgetting about it. I could and should have join then, but I didn't in early part of 2003.

I was on the edge of my job as admin/mod at board that a friend of mine started, which I help him run in 2002.

Anyway, I kept looking for a good board to be with and was still working at my friends board. I tried to find this place again, and I hit christian anime search on google and found this place. I sign up as soon as I could, which was July 2004 and I quit the job of being an admin/job at my friends board, because it was really getting to me and cause my health to take a turn for the bad.

But when I came here, I was very happy and my health really got better. I felt at peace knowing that I could be at board, that I could talk be myself as a christian and an anime fan. Now CAA is my other family and I'm glad to see that its growing.

So, I want to thank Ashley for coming up with the board and Mith for all this hard work that he puts in the board and the mods that keep this place safe.

I don't think I remember when you joined, but then again...I dunno, that was like 50 years ago so my memory's a little fuzzy.

Heh. When I first signed up Nette, it was under a name "Bob" something messed up the login though so I rejoined as "BOB?" When Ash got it sorted out I changed my name to Shatterheart.

I remember when you were still ShatterHeart. You had to move one of my threads, because I was still a newb back then It was also back when I was forced to go to the library basically everyday to use their computers u_u

Ah, memories. I can\'t believe I was a freshman in high school when CAA started, and now I\'m about to graduate college.

I theoretically remember when each one of you joined, so that makes me the oldest of all old schoolers!

And here I thought CAA was started WAY WAY before I came I remember the shout box. Now that's gotta bring back memories \o.o/

I wish I had been around for the early days, not that I could have joined. The farm didn't even have cable! I'm just glad they installed indoor plumbing... No wonder my memories of TV are my brother and I watching DBZ.
