is dreaming TOO much a bad thing?

Talk about anything in here.

lately I've been somewhat insomniatic and it takes me a couple hours to get to sleep which is rare for me nowadays (having a non-stop brain doesn't help either). But it's weird because even when I DO get to sleep and dream, my body still thinks I'm fully awake and still not getting any sleep...

Anyone get that? Where it feels like you hardly slept ALL night, but since you dreamt it's proof that you have? When I did wake up from my dream though I felt wide-awake and even in the mornign I'm like feeling energized and up and good to go. Well, I haven't been feeling good and a few days ago I felt THE most tired I've EVER been in my life and came home from work and slept on and off till 5PM... probably threw my sleeping pattern off^^ So now trying to wake up early so I'll be forced to get to sleep more earlier (make it MUCH easy for work) in hopes that things will be back to normal and boot my insomnia away >_<

This happens whether I remember my dreaming or not... Even in long periods of "dreamlessness" (times I can't remember my dreams or even have any idea that I had them) I wake up tired... It's been that way with me for a few years... Little sleep or a lot of sleep, doesn't matter... I've woken refreshed maybe 10 times in the past 3 years...

I think there is something else here with both of us... I know my diet is really really bad... That may be something to check out... Also, my mom's been telling me I'm overstimulated at night because I'm playing games right before I go to bed, and checking email and doing last minute homework... I have a lot of good suggestions of things I need to change... I'll let you know if it helps me, maybe one of those may apply to you...

Pay attention to the time, and you'll see I'm having serious insomnia problems...

I cannot blame games and computer for it... Everyone seems to pick on "you're playing Warcraft too late at night!" but you know what? Since I wasn't feeling good for a couple days and stayed OFF the game and off the comp entirely for a couple days, I still continued with the insomnia even when I didn't play... Personally, no matter what I'm doing late at night if I'm tired enough, I'll zonk right out. Last night I think I FINALLY beat my insomnia... Had close to around 10 hrs of sleep!

Taking calcium about 30-45 minutes before bed can help with sleep problems.
Just be sure to either get a liquid form of it or liquid filled capsules.
A word of caution though, do not take a large dose of calcium before having to drive or be active. :P
