Shooting in Moscow,Idaho

Yesterday it was reported that during the late night hours of Saturday and early Sunday a man went on an ambush style shooting spree in Moscow,Idaho.
He started at the Latah county courthouse and then later moved across to
the First Presbyterian Church where the tragedy ended.
The Moscow police and Latah Sheriff departments held him off for five hours.
In the end three people died:the gunman,the church's sexton and a police officer.
What is remarkable about this is this is the first recorded death of any
Moscow police officer in the line of duty since the Moscow P.D. was founded back in 1889!
Two or three other people were seriously wounded.One of them was a neighbor who was trying to help out.

I live in Boise...I know people that live in Moscow, though. So this is pretty regional.

I'm curious.....why have I not heard this in the top news headlines? Haven't even seen it on the internet (and I'm on almost all the time). Though, I guess there wasn't much noise from the mainstream media when someone went on a shooting spree in a Utah mall a few months before the VIT Shooting.......It's still think it's kind've odd though.....

I think they mentioned it on Fox News Channel.I was just reading the Spokesman
Review today and it said that the sexton that was killed pretty much kept to himself and nobody knew too much about him,except that he came from New York and had a couple grown children and lost his wife a couple years ago.Also he was a Navy veteran.
The gunman turned out to have been a janitor who worked nights at the church so he and the sexton knew each other.Still a mystery as to what led up to it.

The latest is that the dead gunman was a card carrying member of the Aryan Nations and had both a permit to carry automatic weapons and concealed weapons.
He also had a history of domestic abuse.
