This is considered an emergency by many so PLEASE read.

heres a short quote
"Congress is poised to approve two bills, Hate Crimes and ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act), that will severly threaten our constitutional freedoms of speech and religion by laying the groundwork for silencing any moral opposition to homosexual behavior. Dr. Dobson wants to send 250,000 petitions to Congress to stop these bills in their tracks. Please sign our petition and learn about other ways you can help defend our freedoms. "

GO HERE to listen to Dr. Dobson's summary of the issue and to get the petition link

quote above taken from http://www.focuspetitions.org/

You must be a registered voter to vote, so that excludes a bunch of members probably from signing, but please tell your parents or anyone you can about this.

Can I have a link to these bills? I'd rather read through them myself than take anyone's word about what they will allegedly affect or cause, as the last time I did that, they were lying. That's not to say I don't trust Dobson, I just want to see them for myself, in black and white.

Also, why do people think internet petitions work?

Let's just have the mods close this now and get it over with.

Yes, this is in pretty serious violation of the political prohibition on the site.
