Wow.

I really wish someone would have told the staff about this thread before it turned into an all out fist fight. Regardless, I have made the decision to lock this thread. The purpose of a prayer request thread is to be a place of edification. This thread is obviously defeating that purpose.

On a general note, I'd just like to address what's happened here. Needless to say, we all have issues that are important to us but seem small to those around us. With that said, we all have two choices conerning how to handle those issues. We can keep them inside ourselves or we can share us with those who care about us. Kurama made the decision to post the sincere feelings (s)he had here on CAA for those who cared. Granted, there are certainly larger issues in the world and even in the lives of those around us, but we welcome all to come. We don't put any conditions on our threads. The issues raised in threads may be as large as life or death or as small as play auditions (<--- one of the smaller issues that I have brought here on CAA.)

On the flip side, there is legitimacy to the thought that many Christians allow issues that are very small in the scheme of eternity to ruin their days and we all blow our issues out of proportion. It becomes easy for us to get too focused on ourselves without realizing how small many of our issues truly are. This point, too, is legitimate.

Overall, I'd just like everyone to step back and consider if what they said or did here was edifying. When we stand before the judgment seat, we will have to give account for what we said. How will you each feel about what you said here?

[All those who feel they have something to say may PM me.]
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
