What's the best way to clean stains off of consoles? My NES has an ugly stain on it I can't seem to get rid of. I don't want to buy a new system, but I can't stand having an ugly looking system in my room...

As long as your not touching the innards, get a cotten ball and some rubbing alochol. Just make sure the alochol does NOT get inside the system.

I'm old fashioned, I always use an old toothbrush lightly dampened with water and a little working muscle behind it. Sometimes I throw in some Windex or rubbing alcohol. -Or I mod and repaint it a new color.... I’m not a fan of the off the shelf available colors.

LOL, I do pretty much the same as Link. I'm a klutz, tho, and am always, ALWAYS at risk of damanaging things. 0.0

Spit shine all the way, baby.
*^_^ Just joking... Depending on what the stain is I usually use a soft cloth and Windex or the toothbrush thingy like Link Antilles said.

Shine it away with rubbing alcohol, just make sure to wet the towel and not soil the console directly. That could be a major catastrophe. And I would blow air into the front end, since the Nintendo can open up and doesn't have any delicate laser lens inside which could harm it severly.
