Finals

Postby Atria35 » Mon May 09, 2011 11:56 am

Well, finals week is upon me! I'm extremely confident that I've passed my Bio Lab final, and will do well in my other ones (they aren't cumulative, so it makes studying that much easier).

The one I'm worried about is Bio Class. That one, I have already added up my points and determined that as of right now, I have 70% even. No room to play around. If I don't get a 'C' on my final, then I am out of my university. And that final is cumulative, which means lots more studying than I've already done!

Please pray for me! This final is on Weds, so while I've been studying all last week for it, it seems too close for comfort!

Will be praying. I'm about to take on finals myself, more worried about my Chemistry and Psychology than anything else. The both of us are going to need all the help we can get.

I'm in the same boat...shall be praying. Biology final on Wednesday, on top of my Statistics tonight and NT Epistles Weds morning.

I am unenthusiastic about this Bio final, to say the least. :(

Ouchies! Yep, praying for you guys, too!

As of right now, it's one final (Shakespeare) down, and I'm sure I'm getting a high-C, low-B in the class.

Next up, Weds- 8 AM Biology class final, 6 PM Health
Thurs- 9 AM Basics of English

And it's super-disappointing about the Thursday one, because all my friends up here? Theirs end on Weds, so they're all going out and celebrating, and have to be out of the dorms by Thurs morning. I'll be all by myself, celebrating on Thursday afternoon!

I hear you guys
I had finals last week and those went... ok I guess. It's all in God's hands though no matter what.
I'll be praying for all of you!

Suck. :( I'll continue praying. I know just how super-stressed I am about my Biology final. What all is your professor having you cover? We're going over four or five vocabulary lists on top of the muscular and skeletal systems, the heart, alongside knowing the other body systems and blood types and components of blood. Derp. :eh:

As for my Statistics final last night, it went extremely well. The professor was extremely merciful to our ten-person loathful-of-math class and allowed us to use our books, notes, exam study-guide, formula guide; whatever we had we were allowed to use! As a result I passed the exam and passed the class with a B+!

Ouch. I'll be praying. 0.o Good luck to everyone else who has finals as well!

I can totally do those- I'm really into medical stuff!

But no. I have to memorize stuff on the beginnings of Biology (micro vs macro evolution), stuff on phylogenetics (this is the test that I failed, and pushed my percentage down to a 70%). Then I have the microbiology section- facts about bacteria vs. archaea, and then memorizing the classes of bacteria, why they're unique, the names of actual bacteria and the diseases that they cause, and then stuff on plants (protists vs. fungi vs. angiosperms and whatnot).

So it's a very eclectic mix, but I'm remembering stuff a lot better and easier than I was before the actual tests.

Thanks, Steena!

Anycase, just got back from my Bio final. I'm pretty sure I screwed up the section that I had failed in testing. No idea how I'm going to fair grade-wise on it.

I feel like I'm going to be much of the same way in my Biology exam (it's not until tonight!) It sounds like both of our materials were fairly eclectic (the vocabulary I mentioned is all over the place) ...makes it difficult to study.

As for me, I just completed my NTE exam. It wasn't near as bad as the Midterm and I felt like I actually knew when I was doing on the first 20 or 30 points as opposed to forgetting to study the Bible for a Bible class exam the first time around.

:thumb: I'm so glad that it sounds like you did well! (probably better than me, I think >.>")

Ah, well. At least I was able to remember some of the questions from other exams. But I don't know if I will be able to pull that 'C' that I need.

Well, I suppose we'll both see. It's all in the professor's hands and God's at this point. :)

Wow...I just realized how curved my school's grading scale is. 71% here is a D.

Heh, might be a bit preemptive. One of the classes I thought I'd be getting a necessary 'b' in.... well, after that last test.... It was mostly physics stuff (in a health class, nonetheless!), and I am terrible at physics >.>" Pretty sure I bombed that test.

But my finals are over, and I'm done worrying about it. It won't change anything at this point.

I finished up last night. :) Biology was....eh....half the stuff on there he never specified to study. Like the respiratory system diagram. But, ah well, it is what it is. I spent the night celebrating with some friends at Applebees before going out and dancing/playing in the rain and packing until 2am. Fun times.

WOOO! Finally got my results in- I kicked my semester's butt! I'm in! I'm totally in for the rest of my college career!

In other news, one of my friends graduated this semester- Summa Cum Laude, from MIT, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. She's a brilliant genius- but I take pride in knowing that I can write a better essay.

xD Thanks. But seriously, I have no idea how I did it! I will swear up and down that I bombed my last test for Health- and yet got an 'A' in that class! :eh::sweat: Good thing it was the class that I needed a 'B' or higher in....
