My mom knows a guy named Chris Steeley, who had drug problems in the past, but with God, overcame it.. He married, but then something happened, I think he did something, and then his wife left him.

So now he is completely depressed, and thinks there is no way out of the situation he is in, and he posted goodbyes on Facebook, and also posted something like, "God please forgive me for this...".

Please, please pray for Chris- pray that God touches his heart, and causes him to change his mind... Suicide is never the answer to anything...
I learned that myself, when I was going through a tough time and nearly did it.

So anyway, prayer requests would be very appreciated..

I'm not a guy with that's good with advice but I'm know some pretty darn good music. Let him now that if he's still on Earth, God's not done with him. Chris should not be the one to decide when he's done, let God do that.

If you know where he lives, you should also contact the police with information about a possible suicide/suicide risk ASAP. Now. I'm not kidding.

Chances are that if he's already doing that via online, he might be too close to the suicide to get the song, having turned off his comp or something. You should also try getting in contact with him via phone- or visiting, if that's possible- to try and talk about his problems.

I know, that's what I'm afraid of..

But, I don't even know the guy.. I don't know where he lives, his phone number, I've never said a word to him before... My mom barely knows him, though I know she knows him more than I do.

Does she know where he lives? Or know anyone that would know where he lives? If so, get in contact with her. Tell her to contact the police with the information. They can get EMTs and paramedics out there to help.

Other than her, I don't know anyone else that would know him, but she's gone right now.

Gone? You can't call or text her? At all? Could you get in contact with his other friends via his Facebook page and see if one of them can get the police over there?

When thinking of doing such things, something to keep in mind, things may suddenly change for the good the very next day, so always hang in there!

Praying. As a survivor of several suicide attempts and losing people to it..I can understand where his heart and head my be at. I pray God speaks to his heart and that God will remind him that he knows suffering as well.

Some people went looking for him, and they found him and took him to the hospital. He tried to overdose, but they caught him in time to save his life.

Everyone's prayers obviously made a difference! Thank you so much for praying.

I hear that he is recovering.

I will pray for his continued recovery.

Some of the most difficult times in my life have been the times when God has made his presence known to me in a very deep way, and in the end my faith became stronger as a result. In the same way, I pray that Chris will be able to understand that God is with him in this time of suffering, and that he will be led to turn his eyes more fully upon our savior, Jesus Christ.

That's good, I'm sure we'll all continue to pray for him.

Xam, saying another prayer for Chris. To be honest, several of my last attempts and attempts in general were only forfeited due to the actions of others. I am praying that God will speak to him through this and help him realize that he is worth much in the eyes of God.

You should try to find a way for him to listen to that song. I certainly helped me in times of need. Anyway, thank God he's alive and that fact means that God is not done with him. He should recognize that and remember Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

See if you can find a way for him to connect to my Facebook, I'd like to talk with him and help him in anyway I can. My next nights off are next Thursday and Friday.
