CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Some of you may remember the underprivileged 12 year old kid I mentioned whom I was thinking of giving/selling my Playstation 2 to at the end of the year. His mom cleans houses for a living and they both live in a bachelor's flat attached to a house. I've also come to learn that his mom is an alcoholic and that there's a good chance of him being taken away by child services and put into an orphanage at the end of the year (I've also learned since then that giving him my PS2 would be useless because his mom may sell it in exchange for booze).

Please pray for him (his name is Christiaan) and that this doesn't emotionally scar him for life. Me and my male friends let him hang with us, playing games, watching sport/movies. He really looks forward to it and you can see how happy he is when I come pick him up.

Also, on a more personal/selfish note, please pray for both me and my mom. She's going through a very difficult time financially, while I have been going under a lot of pressure at work (another local print shop closed down recently so my workload has increased substantially), so much so that I'm falling behind (I nearly broke down and cried today).

Aw, I'll definitely be praying for you and the boy. Sounds like a really tough time...I honestly can't imagine what sort of things the kid (or you) must be feeling, but I'll definitely pray that things will turn around and that God's plan will be carried out =)
