but i just came back from watching "saw 4" with some friends and i'm not scared, but i can feel it creeping in my head. i dont know how to explain...but if anyone can just pray that it won't pollute my mind& my heart and that God can build me up to be strong enough to block out the devil--it would be wonderful.
thanks either way!

Will be praying.....Know exactly what you mean....I mean, I'll just watch a brief commercial for that sort of movie, and, sometimes I'll stay awake all night with it in my head...

I'm the same way. I'm kind of drawn to it like a moth to a flame - if not for the intervention of God in my life, well where, but for the grace of God, go I?
I know we have a ton of horror fans on this site, but I have a real difficulty with movies like Saw or Hostel and the like. Is it really wise for us to explore this area of the human psyche?
But I digress. I am actually glad you are disturbed by it and I pray it does not take too many nights for you to process it out of your head.

ugh. I could stand the first saw movie...but I'm too afraid to see anything else of it...I had problems with our apartment basement because of hostel..not that I watched it...but my roommate in thh air force watched it all the time...so I caught bits and pieces of it.
I think that to me it's safe to stick with the Ring, the Grudge, Resident evil, and Silent hill type movies. ^^, I'll be praying for ya. *huggles*

I can't really watch horror movies either --they stick in my head and then someone will sneak out and tap on the window and totally freak me out.
I think I'll stick to suspense...Red Eye was good...
Just pour some Scripture into yourself. Seep your mind in God's word --that will help calm your fears!

I understand. After my sister saw the Grudge, she was afraid of looking behind shower curtains. Once I woke up from a nightmare convinced that zombies had taken over the world, so I kept praying the Lord's prayer. That helped.
