I ask that you pray for me; I'm having a hard time right now. I'm just scared and bothered by some thingss, and I feel like I've drifted away from God. I just need reassurance. And the sun is up at 6:47, which seems strange to me...it bothered me, as well. Don't ask why.

I will pray, but check this out:

I'm still looking, but so far I found Luke 6:47

"For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like"

Luke 6 Expanded:

Work the Words into Your Life

43-45"You don't get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It's who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.

46-47"Why are you so polite with me, always saying 'Yes, sir,' and 'That's right, sir,' but never doing a thing I tell you? These words I speak to you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on.

48-49"If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last. But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total loss."

Mark 6: 45-56

Jesus Walks on the Water

45Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. 46After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

47When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, 49but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, 50because they all saw him and were terrified.

Immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 51Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed, 52for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.

53When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there. 54As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

John 6: 47

47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

I thought these verses were interesting. I hope they help.

Lifting you up, my brother. Remember who you are in Christ, and when Satan starts coming around talking garbage to you, resist him. I know that's easier said than done, though, so you can count on my prayers.

Worrying is common and so is drifting in and out of wondering on things about God. I've been in the prayer room long enough to have seen your spiritual ups and downs. Some days you feel so very far, and others I remember prayer reports you've posted on feeling closer to God than ever! What helps me in times of wondering/worrying, is to remember back on those amazing times and experiences: when you felt God was RIGHT there beside you, and all was well. Just, remember those times, hold onto them, and hopefully your current state will disapperate and you'll be back to where you were^^ Spiritual life is like a roller coaster with it's ups and downs, but best to try to keep on a steady track (although the high points are nice^^) Praying...
