Major Prayer Request: Massive Tornado Strikes

What would it be like, if nearly 60 percent of your town was completely destroyed? Your home no longer able to live in, and everything you love is completely gone....

Well this is a relality that many people are facing here in Kansas today. In Particular, Greensburg Kansas.
Last night at around 10 PM a MASSIVE F4 tornado struck this little down and completely devastated it. Those who are injured were moved to around 3 different hospitals around the state.

At 9 am my time, at least 3 people are dead...

It's so strange because I have been to this town, I even played baseball there...and it's really not that far from where I live. Heck, I even saw the back of that storm and its clouds. And I can remember seeing the back of the cloud and thinking, "Woah, that looks really scary..." It was like this cloud was spiraling upwards toward the sky... it was eerie...

But the scary part of this tragedy is that its not over yet. Meteroligists are saying that tonight could be even scarier, as the storms will be firing up in my area even earlier!

It's gonna get nasty today guys...please pray for your prarie states! We could really use it..

Here is what the Tornado looked like just before it struck Greensburg.. I believe the white area is lightening, not sunlight...

Well, at least if the storms come earlier, you'll be able to do more about it. It's unusual for a tornado to come so late at night...

Oh wow... scary. Never lived in a tornado zone, although I do live in an earthquake/tsunami zone, where luckily not too much happens, but tornadoes are just as scary and alot more frequent for you I guess :/ Praying for you guys down there...

I'll be praying for everyone. We even got the news clear over here in Japan (woot for CNN). One of my Japanese friends actually asked me if my family was alright because she knew I was from Kansas.

If what I've seen is correct there are actually 9 confirmed dead in Greensburg.
Here's a news article I found on it: http://www.kansas.com/197/story/62467.html

Yes, this is a tragedy. It is unusual for a tornado to hit a town so directly. They've increased the estimates to 95% destruction. I can't find pictures online immediately, but they're saddening; there are entire blocks where there is absolutely nothing remaining. Other places are simply smashed:

This reminds me of the F5 that hit here in Oklahoma in May 1999. Funny that this one should hit around the same time...
