My mother has been a confirmed atheist for some time. After a long talk with her this time, well...... let me try to explain.
It started out with her talking about why she was not a beliver. And why she wanted to take the penalty for what she herself did wrong. I told her that she could not pay for it herself, and that Jesus wanted her to be saved.
We went through many points that time and I keept my cool, just until right at what I thought would be the end of the conversation.
I, in tears told her that I did not find Jesus by looking, more like he came to me. And that I who used to be very anti religius as I think some would call it at a very young age, was convinced not by people like teachers or preists, but by Jesus himself. And thus I wanted to find him, and become a better person through Jesus.
She noticed my tears and I gave her a big hug. She said she would open her heart up, I want you to pray that Jesus helps her, just like he helped me. The conversation without tears where not one subject got overuled by her comments did not have much of a effect, but the tears did.
Please, pray that she get helped, that she will find life and that it will go well. I feel that now is the chance that it may change for the better. Again, please pray.
