Emergency prayer

Postby Stiletto » Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:38 am

Hello.

Today I had sort of an episode regarding my blood pressure. Out of nowhere I began to feel extremely dizzy and started to tremble. The highest BP reading I've gotten was 162/132 with a pulse rate of 103 (though for the past two hours it's been up an down with the lowest reading of 132/70). I've been fairly stressed out recently and I did get into an argument with someone today, so I'm pretty sure that and the consumption of caffeine/sugar added up to what happened earlier.

Please pray for me that I will get better and hope that this isn't an indication for something much more serious. I am still trembling a bit at the moment, and since this happened out of nowhere, it's left me in quite a shock.

Thank you.

Thanks you guys. I just checked out of the ER this morning, and while the physician couldn't really pinpoint the cause of what exactly happened, the best they could describe is that the episode was my body's response to a virus that raised my blood pressure (thankfully the water given through me by IV helped calm me down that night).

At the moment my blood pressure is stable (108/85). But still, what happened the other night certainly did give me the feeling that I was going to die - I thank the Lord that it never came to that!

It might have been caffeine-related. That happened with my sister once.

Yeah, I do think that the caffeine and sugar probably would have been the main cause. I'm also hoping that what happened last night wasn't related to my blood sugar levels or diabetes. The dizzyiness and blood pressure rise really began right after drinking a glass of grape juice (which contained a lot of sugar).

If you are that sensitive to sugar, I suggest you get tested. You don't want to go through life windering if you are going to have a problem every time you drink fruit juice. Praying.
