Apathetic

Postby gn6me » Mon May 02, 2011 10:14 am

First off, I am new here and hope to get to know everyone on the forums. Looks like a great community.

Now, not sure where to begin. I have grown very apathetic towards life and my walk with God has slipped through the cracks. I want to get closer to God, but it seems like I just can't. I spend pretty much my whole day inside on the computer. I'm not sure at what point all this started happening and I don't know why I can't just let go and walk with God again. I'm not suicidal or anything, but I feel that if I died today I really wouldn't care. In fact, I sometimes think that would make everything better.

Please pray that these walls break down and that I can enjoy God again and enjoy this life He gave me.

Praying. I had that problem for the longest time to the point I had became somewhat agnostic at one point. I was able to take some reflection on reading the Bible, going to Bible study, and going to a new church service to open my mind and put down my walls to get to know God. It takes a while, but its a lifelong journey to know God more and more.

I will pray for you! Remember that God has a plan for you. If he doesn't want you to go home yet, then he will protect you until he says it's time. I would care if you were to die today...even if I don't know you. Just trust that God knows what he is doing with your life, trust me. I even slip up sometimes, which means that I'm not perfect, in fact, no one is perfect. Just give God a chance to help you through this.
It's not whether you can or can't do it, it is if you do it or not. Nothing comes easy in this world, especially a job or money. I rely on Jesus to get me through these hard times of persecution.
