I encourage you to encourage your parents to pray. You can pray with them individually, that's fine. Help them think about Jesus. The relationships that last are those that are Christ-centered.

Because you say that he's falling asleep, and it's coupled with these mood changes, I want to bring up the idea that it could be that there is a physiological reason that things are so bad. He really might not realize that there's an issue and that he is falling asleep. Your mom really should attempt to get him to a doctor and see if there is something causing him to fall asleep and not realize it.
In the meanwhile, because it's become like this, I'll be blunt- don't get into a car while he's driving. It's obviously been a danger more than once, and if things continue to get worse, then you're all putting your lives at risk.
