Just a quick update from me:
Just got home from the orthopedist. He took off my cast, but put another one on. Said he'd feel better waiting 3 more weeks to take off the cast permanently. So, now I wait 3 weeks. Then I get a cast-boot that I'll wear when walking.
I was really looking forward to taking a normal shower tonight. And I don't know how I'll bathe over Spring Break on our mission trip --as far as I know, the place we're going doesn't have handicap accessible showers. I guess I'll just bathe tonight and Friday before I leave my dorm and then shower as soon as dorms reopen the next week.
But 3 weeks isn't really that long. Especially since I've been in a cast for 6. Just pray that I'll have a positive attitude and not one of grumbling or complaining. I saw my foot today at the doctor's and it looks good. It's at a little over 90 degrees, so the surgery was definitely successful! So it'll be worth all the castness. And now I can get my friends to sign my now 5th cast (had 2 changes today at the doctor's --first one they put on didn't feel right).
