Over the past years I've been struggling with life. But over the past few months I began becoming depressed. I never realized that I was falling so deep until I began thinking about suicide. I've only told a few people about this, but I'm so tired of thinking about it. I'm so tired of dwelling on the past, and hurting myself emotionally, mentally, and physically. I know it's wrong, but I can't stop. I don't want a counselor or any of that. I don't want to deal with people like that again. But lately I've been thinking. I know I need help. Over the past few weeks I've been debating as to whether or not to see a counselor, but I really don't want to.
I'm so glad I learned about the gospel. I've thought about this the other day and started crying. I realized that if I had never been taught the words of god, I would have been dead months ago. I never realized how much I needed God until now.
I know none of you know me, but I want to ask you to pray for me. I don't mean to sound bad or anything, but I know I need help. Please, pray for me tonight. I need to go see a counselor, but I can't bring myself to do it. I really want to change. I don't want to like being alone anymore.

I'll be praying. It's not easy for someone who needs help to admit it, but you're on the right track. As much as you don't like it at the moment, a counselor can really help you get things going in the right direction. In my prayers, hon.

Praying for you. Like K. Ayato said, it sounds like you're on the right track, and for what it's worth, I think it's awesome that you're expressing a dependence on Christ through these problems.
And while I know you don't want to talk to a counselor, you might want to talk to a youth minister or someone like that. They are generally specially trained to help people going through stuff like that, and they have a heart for those young people.

Hey Scarlet! I am sorry to hear about what you are going through. I gotta say though that you are definately very brave in telling us how you feel, that takes Guts, chica and it means that you don't want to be this way anymore!

and I finally talked to the counselor today at school. She couldn't talk for long, but wants me to visit her on monday. I'm a little nervous from not doing this in a while, but i guess that's alright.

Depression is a horrible, horrible thing to have to deal with. It's good that you're going to a counselor, hope your meeting with her goes well. And you will be in my prayers.
I went through a horrible bout of depression several years ago, and only got through it by the love and grace of God. I'll still get depressed now and then, but now I know how to deal with it better, and know that I have God there with me by my side all the time. If you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me, I'm on almost every day.
I'll leave you with something that really encouraged me during my hard time, the Cares Chorus:
I cast all my cares upon You.
I lay all of my burdens
Down at Your feet.
And anytime I don't know
What to do,
I will cast all my cares upon You.
